Storyclash regularly publishes Social Media Rankings by covering online content with the most social media interactions on Facebook, Google+ and since August newly added: Twitter Interactions. Interactions are summarized as all likes, shares, comments and reactions that trending articles obtain. NOS one step ahead of AD.nl
The Nederlandse Omroep Stichting (NOS) managed to increase its interactions by 20 % compared to the previous month of July and is now the new leader in the Netherlands with 1.8 million social media interactions in total. AD.nl follows closely behind with 1.8 million interactions as well and only 5.977 interactions less than NOS. The long-term leader RTL Nieuws, on the other hand, lost two places and is now at the 3rd place with still 1.7 million interactions.
The greatest success of August within the top performing group was achieved by The Next Web (TNW), a popular website that publishes the latest news about Internet technology, business and culture. TNW lifted up its performance by 12 ranks with an increase of incredible 142 %.
A shoe that grows with the child
The top post of the month is a video from BrightVibes, that introduces the audience to a new kind of shoe that grows with the child: „These hardwearing sandals will expand 5 sizes and last 5 years, helping millions of the world’s poorest children„. This delightful video got 110.391 social media interactions in total and was shared over 95.000 times alone.
