Storyclash regularly publishes Social Media Rankings by covering online content with the most social media interactions on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube. Interactions are summarized as all likes, shares, comments and reactions that trending articles obtain. Storyclash tracks billions of social media interactions worldwide and enables publishers, online media newsrooms and brands to discover viral articles, watch competitors in real-time and make data-driven decisions to get more engagement on social media.

With the help of the data provided by Storyclash, Werbewoche.ch publishes the monthly Social Media Ranking of Switzerland.

The reign of memes benefits Swissmeme as always

Each of the Swiss media sites in this month’s Top 10 have improved upon their social media interaction totals to some degree, which is notable considering that 50% of them worsened back in April. Swissmeme is back in the 5-million interactions range at the number 1 spot while Energy Schweiz and 20 Minuten both dig into their 2nd and 3rd place positions, where they’ve managed to make camp for the entirety of 2018. Recent newcomer Visit Switzerland broke into the 8th spot from 14th place, scrambling the bottom half of the Top 10 in a positively disruptive way.

Note: Some posts are older than the month in question, but still have enough interactions in that period to be ranked.
